Spring is officially here, the weather is slowly warming, and we can’t wait to get back out on the road. To get your season off to a great start, we’ve rounded up all of our spring RV maintenance advice!
How to de-winterize
The important task of reversing the winterizing process you went through in the fall and getting your RV back in working order for the camping season. When you’re ready to get started, follow along with these basic steps.
Cleaning & maintenance tasks
Time to wash off all that winter grime, giving your entire RV a good, top to bottom, front to back, cleaning. Ridding your RV of dust and dirt will give you the best opportunity to do a thorough visual inspection, so wash the exterior with our suggested cleaning products, open any slides, grab a ladder, and check the roof, and do not forget the caulking.
If your visual inspection reveals seals in need of attention, follow our advice for repairing them.
We also recommend you start the season with freshly cleaned tanks and an effective tank treatment.
Before you go
We’re big advocates of the pre-season road trip. We like to plan a weekend away, not far from home, to make sure everything is running smoothly. Even with a thorough inspection, until you’ve gone through all the motions of setting up camp and spending some quality time in your RV, some problems can go undetected.
